Coach Kyle is in his 7th year coaching with the Jacksonville Athletic Club and his 9th year affiliated with the JAC. Kyle attended Paxon School of Advanced Studies before short stints competing at the collegiate level in Swimming and Track and Field at South Georgia State College and Kennesaw State University respectively. Following his time at KSU, Coach Kyle decided to move back to Jacksonville to train full time with the JAC Elite group of post collegiate decathletes. During his time with the group, he qualified for three USA Championships, Decathlon (2x) and the indoor Heptathlon (1x), where he boasts a top finish of 6th at the 2022 USATF Indoor Championships, finishing the season ranked 16th in the United States.
During his time as a coach, Coach Kyle has guided athletes to podium finishes in all the speed/power events (sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws) at the FHSAA State Championship. Coaching at The Bolles School, he has completely rewritten the record books on both the boys’ and girls’ sides. Changing the reputation of Bolles being primarily a distance school to that of domination in the sprints and jumps in recent years. Coach Kyle obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Arkansas State University and is USATF Level 2 certified in the Jumps and Level 3 certified in the Sprints/Hurdles/Relays, which is the highest level of certification offered in the United States. He has also written multiple articles around sprint and hurdle training methodology and philosophy.
