What?- Starting in the fall of 2020, the Jacksonville Athletic Club will be offering a youth cross country program! This is a unique opportunity for kids in grades 1-8 who love to run, and want to learn how to increase their endurance, run faster, and compete in a few cross country and road races in the fall. This group will meet a few nights a week, and training will include endurance training, speed and power training, race strategies, and all will be done in a fun and challenging way! We will also be offering an optional practice day each week (Saturday mornings) for a long run with the coaches!
Who?- Boys and girls ages 5-12 who enjoy running and want to learn more about the great sport of cross country!
Where?- We will practice at Fort Family Park, which is right off of 295 and Baymeadows. The address is 8000 Baymeadows Rd E, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Where to go and park can be found here.
When?- Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Youth cross country training will run from September 14th - November 11th. Our cross country program will include multiple opportunities for the athletes to compete in some cross country meets!
